MicroFreedom’s Privacy Policy and Legal Disclaimer

I. PRIVACY POLICY

 

Your privacy is critically important to MicroFreedom.

 

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, MicroFreedom collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. MicroFreedom’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how MicroFreedom’s visitors use its website. From time to time, MicroFreedom may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

 

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to MicroFreedom’s websites choose to interact with MicroFreedom in ways that require MicroFreedom to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that MicroFreedom gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. In each case, MicroFreedom collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with MicroFreedom. MicroFreedom does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities, such as submitting information for a new listing in our database.

 

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

MicroFreedom discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that need to know that information in order to process it on MicroFreedom’s behalf or to provide services available at MicroFreedom’s websites, and that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using MicroFreedom’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. MicroFreedom will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, MicroFreedom discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when MicroFreedom believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of MicroFreedom, third parties or the public at large.   MicroFreedom takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

 

Cookies

MicroFreedom does not utilize cookies to track users of its website.

 

Business Transfers

If MicroFreedom, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that MicroFreedom goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of MicroFreedom may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

 

Ads

Ads appearing on any of our websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by MicroFreedom and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

 

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, MicroFreedom may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in MicroFreedom’s sole discretion. MicroFreedom encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. If you have a WordPress.com account, you should also check your blog’s dashboard for alerts to these changes. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

 

II. LEGAL DISCLAIMER

 

MicroFreedom is a third-party service maintained out of an interest in micropatriology and sovereignty projects with the express purpose of increasing public knowledge and understanding about micronations, the micronational community, and alternative forms of government.  No support or endorsement of any particular organization, project, group, movement, campaign and/or nation/state is intended, implied, or suggested.  MicroFreedom is not affiliated with any micronation, new country project, or political movement.

 

The primary administrator of MicroFreedom, Travis McHenry, has had a longstanding involvement with numerous micronations having founded and managed Calsahara, Casbah, and Westarctica as well as briefly managing the Molossian provinces of Desert Homestead and New Antrim.

 

MicroFreedom takes no responsibility should anyone be inspired to commit themselves to acts of sedition or violence after visiting our website or downloading the MicroFreedom mobile app.  Neither MicroFreedom, nor its staff, support, condone, or encourage acts of violence or sedition.

 

The inclusion of a link or links to any group on this website is done so for casual and/or scholarly interest, and is not intended, implied nor suggested as either support nor endorsement of such organization, project, group, movement and/or micronation by MicroFreedom or its administrators.

 

The listing of a website for a particular organization, project, group, movement, campaign and/or micronation does not mean that the particular website listed is the definitive one for that particular organization, project, group, movement, campaign and/or micronation.  Where possible, MicroFreedom makes every attempt to verify the legitimacy of a project’s online presence as “Official” before labeling it as such.

 

MicroFreedom takes no responsibility for any offer, action, product, or service offered or taken by any party or parties represented by any website listed, nor for any content of any website for which a hypertext link is provided, or the URL for that site is listed.

 

All graphics used on MicroFreedom are either open-source or have been pulled from the website associated with the listing, and are intended to stimulate interest in the websites involved.  The use of non-open-source graphics or text is not intended to be an act of copyright violation.  Should such inclusion be considered an infringement of copyright, please contact the MicroFreedom’s administrator via e-mail at travisdmchenry@gmail.com for their prompt removal.  Requesting removal of a graphic for a listing will result in the removal of the listing in its entirety.
